DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Effective design isn't solely about color harmony and composition. Effective design is communicating clearly with your audience, whether the goal is to sell your latest book or inform the public about current events. It can become easy to overindulge in minimalism, as the intended message can become lost when done for the sake of simplicity itself. Minimalism with clear communication is what makes a simple and effective design stand out.
ABOUT ME
I've been in the design field for almost ten years now, anything from freelance to visual merchandising to running print-on-demand online shops. I specialize in typesetting and vectors, but I have training in copywriting, basic photography, photomanipulation, and advertising.
Originally from the United States, I've made my home in East Japan with plans to settle permanently with my spouse. Japanese art and design has been an influence on my work since 2014, blending with my East Coast training to achieve a style of minimalism I can call my own.
